with both feet.
That's pretty much how my friends and I always do things.
So, the cd booklet I'm going to be designing for a friend...I agreed to do his website, too. I have never touched Dreamweaver, and I have no clue what I'm doing, and okay, I'm a little nervous about figuring it all out. But mostly, I'm excited that I have an excuse to learn a new program. That's the kind of geek I am. That's how I learned Photoshop. That's how my best friend and I learned theatre lighting. And sound. How Kory and my best friend have learned everything they know about recording and pro tools and all that jazz. How I learned photography. How my best friend jumped in to making a short film. I think the trick is to just be confident, and maybe a little naive. Start a project first, and *then* learn how to do it. That's generally our MO. And sure, things take us (years) longer than they would if we were seasoned pros. But then the next time around, we know more. And it's not so bad. And at this rate, the 3 of us will eventually be some kind of media empire, because between the 3 of us we will know how to do it all. That's real life education for you.
So once I get this program, I'll keep you updated on whether I'm loving it or pulling my hair out. If history is any indication, it will be a glorious combination of both.
i love learning new programs.
and i think that's how i end up learning things....
anyways.
have fun!
